Meet Our DSA Coaching Team

Directors: Rob and Tammy Krul Ton Snip: Goalie Director

Dan Williams: Asst. Director

Leading our coaching team are directors, Robbie and Tammy Krul.  Robbie has received his soccer coaching credentials through the prestigious KNVB in Holland.    Robbie is also an accomplished soccer player being selected to play for the first team of the highest amateur division in the Netherlands at the young age of 17.  His professional career in the Netherlands took a detour when he was recruited to play for Franklin Pierce College in the United States.  He only intended to stay for one season as an adventure in America, but it was there that he met his future wife-to-be, Tammy Thibodeau, and decided to remain in the USA a while longer.  While at FPC, he was awarded for being one of the top forwards in the country.

Maine native Tammy Thibodeau, played soccer for Franklin Pierce College in Rindge, New Hampshire.  While there, her team captured two NCAA Division II National Championships and one appearance in the NCAA Final Four Tournament.  In addition to coaching at various clinics throughout the country, Tammy served three years at the University of Maine at Presque Isle as head coach of the Women’s Soccer Team.

DSA’s Goalie Program is headed by Ton Snip of the Netherlands. Ton will join us for his 7th year at DSA and comes from the Zaanstreek-Waterland region of Holland. Currently, he is working for FC Castricum as a goalie coach and also assists the field coaches. Ton also keeps busy as a personalized goalie instructor and currently looks after 6 goal keepers. Ton also owns a training and consulting company that organizes goalie clinics for soccer schools and clubs in Holland. Additionally, Ton works in the police field where he gives training clinics to officers and organizations in drug related matters.

Ton's depth of experience and knowledge of the game has made a huge impact at Dutch Soccer Academy. He has an intense coaching style and knows how to prepare his goalies for the physical and mental demands of the goalie position. Students that sign up for the goalie program at DSA will receive very personal and customized instruction. Coach Ton does a great job relating the technical skills he teaches in private sessions to game situations. He is a tremendous mentor to our DSA players and also to our DSA staff where he is highly respected.

Returning for his seventh season with Dutch Soccer Academy is Daniel Williams from Eastbourne, England. Dan's animated and high-energy approach to teaching the game of soccer has set him apart as one of DSA's all-time favorite coaches. He does an excellent job motivating and encouraging his students. He brings so much life and fun to the field making the DSA camp experience uniquely memorable for our students.

Dan started his playing career at Eastbourne Borough F.C. in the Southern conference where he was the only player in five years to make it to the first team from their youth & reserves. Dan also played for Sussex where he captained the team that captured two consecutive League Championships.

Dan is currently the head women's coach at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.  He resides in Caribou with his wife, Leslie, and three daughter's; Camryn, Darian, and Molly.
